Runner & Location Marshall

My name is Bogdana, but on set I go by Dana. I have been working and studying in the film industry for more than five years. I studied film and photography at two colleges in two different countries, and I am currently completing my degree in Film and Television Production at the University of York.

Over the past five years I've worked on more than twenty projects in a wide range of roles, no two the same: from planning and paperwork to setting up equipment on set, through to editing and colour grading in post. Because of that, filmmaking isn't unfamiliar territory for me: I orient quickly in a new team and know where I can be useful, even when the task isn't spelled out in advance. I keep the location running smoothly, read in advance what each department needs, and solve small problems before they cost the shoot any time.

People can rely on me for the small things and the demanding ones alike: bringing coffee on time or helping haul heavy equipment, since physical strength and regular training let me do it quickly and with ease. Long shifts don't wear me down: good physical fitness and emotional stamina keep me focused and energised, whether I'm managing a busy location, coordinating across departments or working with the public, where staying both safe and approachable matters.

I treat everyone with kindness and understanding. I take real responsibility for my work: reliability, a positive attitude and a readiness to step in where needed.
